The former workpermit.am system has been replaced by a unified electronic platform for services related to the granting, extension, and termination of residence permits. The platform was developed with the support of the International Organization for Migration (IOM) and is administered by the Migration and Citizenship Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Armenia.

The new system enables the electronic submission of residence permit applications on all major grounds provided for by the legislation of the Republic of Armenia.

The platform uses flexible registration and login mechanisms tailored to different categories of users. Employers, educational institutions, citizens of the Republic of Armenia, residence permit holders, and foreign nationals may use the system depending on the type and legal basis of the application.

Through the system, users can:

• submit and manage applications entirely online;
• track the application process in real time;
• receive notifications and submit additional documents;
• pay the state fee online;
• submit applications for family members;
• manage authorized representatives and their powers;
• use a single personal account under different roles, including applicant, employer, family member, authorized representative, and others.

The introduction of the platform contributes to the digitalization of public services, simplification of administrative procedures, improved data interoperability, and more effective management of migration processes in the Republic of Armenia.
